BERNICE SWALLOW (GAUNT)

BERNICE SWALLOW (nee GAUNT) Peacefully on February 4, 2003 at the Concordia Personal Care Centre at the age of 81. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in April 1998; her parents, William and Nellie Gaunt; sisters, Alice and Beryl; brothers, Joseph, Leonard and Charles. She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Ray) Ford of Abbotsford, BC and several nieces and nephews. Bernice most enjoyed her walks and companionship with Thomas (Tommy), their trips to the countryside and the United States with various seniors groups. Bernice will always be remembered for her gentle laugh and her smiles for her caregivers. Her favourite expression "would you like some peppermints, chocolates, etc." She loved to share and was a most generous person especially if you were a child or pet. Many thanks to the Concordia Place, special nurses "you know who you are", caregivers, social convenor, Pastoral Care and friends on the 2nd floor. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., viewing will be a half an hour prior to service. Pastor Troy Van-Ginkel officiating. Service to terminate at the chapel with a private family interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. May the winds beneath your wings take you to peace, comfort and happiness.
