Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY ALICE HOWES (nee LONGMUIR) Peacefully at Oakview Place with her family at her side on February 6, 2003, Dorothy, beloved wife of Ernest Edwin, passed away at the age of 82 years. Dorothy was born March 5, 1920 in McConnell, MB, one of eight children. In 1959 she left the family farm for Winnipeg. It was there that she met the love of her life Ed. They were married in 1960 and were to celebrate 43 years of marriage this year. Dot had been employed at Robinson Little Company and then Deer Lodge Hospital before embarking on her most rewarding career as a wife and a mother. She leaves to mourn husband Ed, son Raymond (Diane) of Winnipeg, daughter Susan (Joe) of Saskatoon SK, as well as five grand-children. She is also survived by sisters, Winnie and Mabel of Rivers, MB; brother Bill (Pearl) of British Columbia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, February 10 at Neil Bardal, 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Oakview Place for their support and loving care of our dear wife and mother. We know your prayers are with us.
