ROSA JANNETTA It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Rosa on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 87 years. On March 5, 1915 Rosa was born in Italy. She came to Canada in 1952 and was a long time resident on Alverstone Street here in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio in 1977. Rosa is survived by her daughter Filomena "Nina" Pasquarelli and her husband Vittorio; two grandchildren, Nick and Rosa; and by her son Joseph; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rosa was an active church member. She loved the outdoors, going for walks and working in her huge garden cultivating fruits, vegetables and flowers. She was a very nurturing and caring person and many people will miss her. Prayers will be said on Sunday evening, February 9 at 7:30 p.m., in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning, February 10 at 10:00 a.m., also in the church, with Rev. Fr. Michael Raj Savarimuthu presiding. Entombment will follow in the Assumption Chapel Mausoleum in the Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. For those who wish, viewing will be held at prayers and prior to mass.
