MARLYNE JOAN ROBINSON (nee FOGG) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden peaceful passing of Marlyne at home on Thursday, February 6, 2003. Marlyne was predeceased by parents, Agnes and Fred Fogg and by her brother Gordon Fogg. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jim of 46 years; sons, Greg and Dave and wife Lori; daughter Terri and her sons, Grandmas treasured grandchildren, Adam and Nicholas; as well as her beloved pets, Gina, Nikki and Coral. Marlyne will also be deeply missed by brothers, Russ and Ron; sisters, Jackie, Margaret and Shirley; her identical twin sister and best friend Mavis; and a legion of nieces, nephews and extended family. Mom was born April 19, 1936 and lived her entire life in Winnipeg. She was the anchor of our family and was at her happiest when we were all together. She dearly loved her family, her pets and her home. She had a special way of looking at the world which stemmed from her personality, non-judgmental, forgiving, welcoming, happy and very loving. Moms cooking skills (Oh, the Yorkshire Pudding!) and her ability to make anyone relaxed and comfortable in her home were unmatched. Sunday dinners will not be the same. Mom deeply loved animals, especially her vizslas. Her pets are family members. Strays were always sheltered. Birds and wildlife interested her and she loved being outdoors, camping and fishing. Mom loved sunsets at the cottage and playing with the dogs in the lake. She took great pride watching her grandsons grow into the exceptional young men that they are. And she loved baking lots and lots of chocolate chip cookies for them. Our family has always been quiet, but closely knit. Weve lost our heart, but we take great strength and direction from the many lessons Mom taught us. We love you Mom and cherish the memories. Youll be with us always. We wish to extend our gratitude to First Responders, the staff at Grace Emergency, especially Dr. Cavers, Marna, Kelly and Major Gordon Jarvis. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
