Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTED KRAWCHUK Suddenly, on February 6, 2003 at Selkirk, Ted Krawchuk, deeply loved brother of Lily Czastkiewicz, Mary Lazaruk, Irene Murphy, Anne Friesen and Kathy Fecio, passed on to be in a better place. Ted also leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers-in-law, Jacob Friesen and Bill Fecio, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Ted was born in a bush camp on February 21, 1935 to John and Mary Krawchuk near Pinawa, MB. He spent most of his life in an area once known as Sand Hill, MB farming with his father and brother Nick. Nick and Ted also spent many winters cutting cordwood and lumber in northeastern Manitoba. Ted was an avid sportsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. His gentle kindness, his love and respect of nature along with his unique sense of humour will forever be cherished by his family. He was a very special brother. Ted was predeceased by his parents, his very dearly loved brother Nick, his brothers-in-law, Stanley Czastkiewicz, Alex Lazaruk and Bernie Murphy; and his loving niece Jean Naurocki (nee Czastkiewicz) and several aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be his brother-in-law Bill Fecio, his nephews, Brock Fecio, Billy Fecio, Barry Lazaruk, Bob Czastkiewicz and longtime friend Alex Katazinski. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. Funeral Rites will be celebrated on Thursday, February 13 at 11:00 a.m. also in the chapel with Very Rev. Fr. Henry Lakusta officiating. Interment to follow at the Sand Hill Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Sand Hill. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
