HARRY WIEBE 1924 - 2003 It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Harry Wiebe of Winnipeg, on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at the age of 78 years. Harry will be deeply missed by his wife Mary; and his children, Dale (Maureen), Karen (Doug) Monteith and Reg; as well as his grandchildren, Anthony (Heather) Wiebe, Shawnaleee (Cory) Redwood, Candace (Brad) Gauthier, Jennifer Evans; and one great-grandchild Sydney. Harry will also be missed by Marys family, Brenda (Marcel) Matte, Tom; and grandchildren, Madeleine and Jean-Francois. He is also survived by four brothers, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Nettie in 1983; his son Garry in 1970; and by his parents, John and Helen Wiebe. Harry was born in Horndean in 1924 and married Nettie Klassen in 1946. He worked for Paul Braun Construction for many years, and for Powell Equipment for 25 years until his retirement in 1984. He married Mary Wiebe in 1997. Harry was a member of the Elmwood Legion and St. Norbert Eagles. He loved to travel and spent several winters at the trailer in Texas. He also enjoyed spending time in his cottage in Lac du Bonnet, puttering in his workshop and fishing. In recent years he spent many hours on the computer with e-mail and computer games. Viewing will be held Sunday, February 9, 7:30 - 8:00 p.m. with devotional and prayers at 8:00 p.m. at Morrow Gospel Church, 755 St. Annes Rd., Winnipeg. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 10, 2:00 p.m. at Morrow Gospel Church; with viewing prior to the service. Interment at Lowe Farm Cemetery.
