HAMISH McCULLOUGH McINTYRE May 27, 1926- February 4, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hamish McCullough McIntyre, beloved father and husband. Hamish will be remembered fondly for his humour, integrity, generosity and intelligence. He brought light and wisdom into the lives of those he met. Born in 1926 in Umtali S. Rhodesia, Hamish spent his formative years in Greenoch, Scotland. After completing his education he joined the Scots Guards in 1945 and spent several years working as a military police officer in occupied Germany after the Second World War. He immigrated to Canada soon after and resided in Toronto and Vancouver before settling in Winnipeg in the early 1970s where he was employed with City of Winnipeg until his retirement in 1991. His retirement years were spent doing the things he loved most: planning trips and travelling overseas, reading, and enjoying the comforts of his home, family and the pets he so dearly loved.
