ROBERT WILLIAM SHEPHERD May 29, 1968 - February 8, 2003 After a long and hard fought battle with cancer, our son, father, friend, brother, uncle, passed away at home February 8, 2003. Throughout all his troubles, Bob demonstrated a strength and courage that would make the bravest and strongest of us envious. Bobs battle was made easier by the care and support of Mom from start to finish. Her dedication and example gave strength to the entire family. The many visits and words of support by friends near and far were of great comfort to Bob and all the family and showed how special he was and how he affected those lives he touched. Bob was predeceased by his father Colin, on May 3, 1995. Left to cherish his life and memory are his mother Therese Shepherd; his son Aniken; Anikens mother Elena Wiens (who always held a special place in Bobs life) brothers, Dave (Diane), Dan (Lisa), Dennis (Debbie) sisters, Colleen (Pete) Sacrey, Noreen (Clinton) McCorriston; and Uncle Bobs nieces and nephews, Sherry, Lauren, Norah, Colin, Sarah, Chelsea, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Kevin, Brandon, Megan, Bethanie and Austin. Cremation has taken place and a mass and service remembering Bobs life will be held Tuesday, February 11 at St. John Brebeuf Catholic Church, 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Fr. Mike Koryluk will celebrate the mass. At Bobs request, pallbearers are, Greg Davenport, Scott Gourlay, Corey Henschel, Trevor Henschel, Ian Hillier, Kevin Hills, Scott Nawrocki, Neil Paskiw, Todd Pettapiece and Chris Sicotte. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for Bobs son, Aniken Wiens Shepherd, at the Royal Bank of Canada, 1219 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3M 1Z1, (204) 988-4321.
