Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN (JONI) BERNICE CAWSTON August 26, 1938 - February 10, 2003 It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Joan Cawston of Winnipeg, on Monday, February 10, 2003 at the age of 64. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her children, Debbie (Larry) Armstrong, Candace Dubchak (Jim), Nickie (Cheryl) Kawulia; brothers and sisters, Louise (Buzz) McComb, Mihlan "Bung" (Betty) Cawston, Connie Hill, George (Sandi) Cawston, Linn (Nicole) Cawston; grandchildren, Jessica and Tiffany Armstrong, Tara Blasky (Tim), Nicholas and Aaron Kawulia, Daniel, Tyler and Paige Yatchuk; great-grandchild Riley Blasky; and her very special friend Lorne Langstaff. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. Joni was predeceased by her father Murray Cawston, her mother Ada Bovair, and her stepfather James Bovair. Joni had a love for dancing, she was a member of Patricias Dance Studio in Winnipeg. She also loved being at the lakes and spent many summer weekends in Fort Frances, boating and fishing with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 as tokens of remembrance. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception following.
