CARL EIDE November 5, 1910 - February 9, 2003 Peacefully, on Sunday, February 9, 2003 in Steinbach, Carl Eide passed away at the age of 92. Carl will be lovingly remembered by his seven children, Palma Roehl, Ken, Margaret Lazier, Karla Eide, Chris, Paul, Sam and their families of 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine stepsons, Larry, Robert, Laurence, Glenn, Dennis, Douglas, Terry, Brian and David; two stepdaughters, Marilyn and Jocelyn and their families; four brothers, Alf Eide (Calgary), Bjarne (Norway), Ralph (Winnipeg), Norman (British Columbia), and mother of his children Doris Andrews. Predeceased by his second wife Emma in December 2002; six brothers, one sister, one son-in-law, and two stepdaughters. Viewing will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with coffee to be served. Funeral service will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St. at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow the interment at the church. Special thanks to good friend Serle Copsey and also Dr. Nolan Findlayson and nurses and staff at the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund (Faith Gardens) or a charity of your choice.
