MARIA DE LOURDES SOUSA PEREIRA August 20, 1939 - February 10, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved angel Maria De Lourdes Sousa Pereira. Maria was a truly beautiful soul. She was a loving mother/mother-in-law to her sons, Joe (Sharon) and Dan (Brenda) wife to Jose Luis; devoted grandmother to Troy and Tory; respected sister/sister-in-law to Conceicao (Antonio), Alda (Manuel), Artur (Mariana), Antonio (Luisa), Jose (Lubelia), Julieta (Armenio), Carlos (Natalia), Laurinda (Humberto), Maria De Carmo (Pedro), and Luisa Couto; and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Mom had a big heart and will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, strength and enviable unselfishness. Aside from grandchildren and family, being witness to acts of kindness and humanity brought her much joy. We are all thankful to have been a part of Marias life and her spirit and memories will continue to warm our hearts. We love you very much and will miss you terribly. Rest in peace. Special thanks to Dr. R.J. Boyd and the caring nurses of the Seven Oaks Hospital 5th Floor Nursing Units. Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 13 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 14 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
