MARIE THERESA SIMPSON (nee BEAULIEU) March 1913 - February 2003 On Tuesday, February 11, 2003 Theresa Simpson passed away peacefully at the Selkirk General Hospital. She spent many years farming with her husband near Petersfield. After retiring in 1972, gardening and her home in the village of Petersfield was her pride and joy. Theresa was a strong believer and member of the St. Annes Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Petersfield Curling Club, Community Club and Seniors Group for many years. Theresa was a hard worker and was also willing to help anyone in need. She truly enjoyed spending many hours playing cards with family and friends. She was a very caring person and always thought of others first. Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald; her parents, David and Bernadette Beaulieu; one brother; and two sisters. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Barsness (Glen) and Frances Thompson (Norman) son Clarence Knaus (Marge) special nephew Donald Poulin (Carol) her brother Babe Beaulieu (Jean) 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be held at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk on Thursday (tonight) February 13 at 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church, Petersfield on Friday, February 14 at 1:30 p.m., with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Interment will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at the Tudor Home for all their kindness, to Pat Dorman for her love and support, the Selkirk General Hospital for compassionate care, and her many friends and relatives who visited over the past eight years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
