EUGENIA SUCHYNSKY Peacefully with family at her side, in the morning of Monday, February 10, 2003, our beloved "Mamma" Eugenia, aged 79 years, passed away at the Holy Family Nursing Home. Eugenia will be cherished forever by her daughter Maria Haddock and her son Bohdan Suchynsky. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1997 and earlier by both parents, Anton and Maria Tyndyk in Western Ukraine. Eugenia was born in Western Ukraine in 1923 and emigrated in 1963 with her husband Andrew and their two children, Maria and Bohdan from Glasgow, Scotland to begin a new life in Canada. Over the years "Mammas" time was spent caring for her home and garden which gave her a great source of pride and joy. Once the garden was harvested, her generous nature was demonstrated when more than half was given away to family and friends. Our "Mamma" also loved to cook traditional Ukrainian dishes and will always be remembered for her "generous" portions and when visitors left, she always sent them on their way with a "care package" full of goodies. "Mamma" also loved crocheting and doing Ukrainian embroidering for which she will always be remembered as many of her works are cherished by her family and friends. All who knew our dear "Mamma" fondly remember her for her loving smile and the "sparkle" in her eyes. She will live on in our hearts and her memories will always warm and guide us. Prayers will be held on Sunday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas U.C. Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. A Basilian Father officiating. Interment Holy Family Cemetery. Reception to follow at Knysh Funeral Chapel, reception area, 1020 Main St. Special thanks to the nursing staff of St. Johns Ward at the Holy Family Nursing Home for their loving care of our dear "Mamma." "Mother" You can only have one mother, Loving, kind and true. No other friend in all the world Will be so true to you. For all her loving kindness, She asks for nothing in return. If all the world deserted us, To our mother we could turn. For those of us who have a mother, Treasure her with care, For you will never know her value, Till you see that shes not there. To hear her voice, to see her smile, To sit and talk with her awhile, To be together in the same old way, Would be our dearest wish today. Vichnaya Pam Yat KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
