TJ WIEBE (TREVOR JARROD BRANDT) March 21, 1982 - January 5, 2003 Suddenly and tragically, our beloved son, TJ, was taken from us. TJ leaves to mourn his mom and dad, Karen and Floyd; his sister Stacey; and his brother Chad; his grandparents, Sadie and Abe Wiebe and Lloyd (Vi) OMorrow; his aunts and uncles and cousins, Colleen and Cam Malcolmson (Danny, Caitlin, Joshua), Grace and Norville Getty (Norville Jr., Laura, Paul), Val and Lawrie McCaffrey (Allyson, Andrea), Holly and John Kolevris (Natasha, Denny), and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his Grandma, Grace OMorrow; his Great Uncle, Wes McCaffrey; and his beloved cat, Tiger. Honorary pallbearers will be: Derek Boone, Justin Swain, Richard Berard, Yann Michaud, Clinton MacDonald, Alan Cardinal and Novy Kingra. TJ grew up in St. Vital where he began school in the French Immersion stream and then graduated from Glenlawn Collegiate in 2000. He also attained his Auto Body Technician Certificate and had almost completed his Industrial Welding Certificate at Winnipeg Technical College. TJ was a charismatic young man who was loved by all children and enjoyed by all adults who met him. He was a loving son who was known by all of his friends to value the special relationships he had, right up to his untimely death, with his family. His loyalty to his friends was unparalleled and he considered them to be part of his family. He was generous in spirit and deed, never turning his back on those who asked for his help. TJ enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to explore the islands at the lake and go off with the members of the Nopiming SnoMads to clear brush from snowmobile trails. He enjoyed bow hunting for grouse in the fall. TJ was an avid swimmer and a certified scuba diver, but his overwhelming love was for snowmobiling, which was a family sport. He was a joy to see, out on the trails and on the lakes, hunting for "powder" on his trusty Phazer. TJs passing is a great tragedy for his family and friends. His opportunity to find a path through the perils of life was unfairly stolen from him at only 20 years of age. Our hearts have been crushed by the senseless act that took him from us and we will mourn his loss forever. We would like to thank our family, and the many, many friends and coworkers who have supported us through this difficult time. Your kindnesses will never be forgotten. As well, we would like to express our appreciation to the members of the Winnipeg Police Service, who have worked tirelessly to find TJ, and to bring resolution to our loss. A celebration in honour of our TJs brief life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. Donations gratefully accepted for the "TJ Wiebe Education Awareness Fund," in care of Louis Riel School Division, 900 St. Marys Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 3R3
