HELEN MARY LOTECKI (nee DZIALIK) August 15, 1915 - February 11, 2003 Peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at the age of 87, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Helen Lotecki, passed away at the Kildonan Personal Care Home. Helen was predeceased by her husband Walter, her parents Nellie and Frank Dzialik, brother John and sister Josephine. She is lovingly survived by daughter Judith Shalay (Alex) and son Leonard; six grandchildren, Alison (Kerry), Warren (Pat), Kara (Doug), Lenore, Toby (Maria) and Nancy (Peter) six great-grandchildren, Brett, Lindsay, Devon, Kelsey, Taylor and Camryn. She is also survived by one brother Walter, sisters, Carrie, Adeline, Stella, Jean (Ray), sisters-in-law, Eleanor, Lil, Vera, Stella and brother-in-law John. Helen, together with her husband operated the Highland Glen General Store from the 1940s to 1970 when they retired to St. Vital. Family was very important in Helens life and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at the Kildonan Personal Care Home for the loving care given to our mother. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Fr. Raymond Beaudry officiating.
