SHEILA (PAT) MCCREATH (COOLEY) (nee CUNNINGHAM) In the early hours of Monday morning February 10, 2003, Pat passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre with her daughter at her side. Pat was born in Glen Affric, Invernesshire, Scotland on January 11, 1921. She was educated in Scotland and Paris, France. At the outbreak of the war, she joined the ATS of the British Armed Services and served during the war in Egypt. She met Jack Cooley in Scotland at the end of the war and after their marriage in London, England, came to live in London, ON in 1946. They moved to Winnipeg in 1960 and Pat, who was already established in the fashion industry, spent many happy years associated with Holt Renfrew, Donaldsons and Betty Withrow. She married Dr. Norman McCreath in 1975 and they lived in Winnipeg and Brandon until "Diggers" death in 1994. At that time she joined her daughter in Winnipeg. For the last year and a half she had resided at the Deer Lodge Centre. Pat was an exceptionally selfless person, always willing to help in any way she could. Her many lasting friendships throughout Canada and overseas are a testament to that selflessness. Pat is survived by her only child Gillian Robertson; granddaughters, Leanne Marrese (Darren), Dawn Allan (Greg) and Susan Hartman; and her beloved great-granddaughters, Michelle, Kelsey and baby Sarah. She was predeceased by her parents, twin brother John Cunningham, first husband Jack Cooley and son-in-law Gordon Robertson. Also mourning her passing is her extended family, Robin Lansdown, Dr. Dugal McCreath (Ann) and Dr. Peter McCreath (Linda) and their families. She was always interested in the tales of their varied activities and travels. Doug Lansdowns visits and phone calls with "Grandma Pat" and his stories of life in Yellowknife, NT were of special interest to her. At Pats request, cremation has taken place and a private family committal will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on 6 West at Deer Lodge Centre for their loving care and support both to her and the family throughout the past year and a half. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3, would be greatly appreciated. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
