JOSEPH RUSYWICH Peacefully at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, MB on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 Joseph Rusywich passed away at the age of 82 years, beloved father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born in St. Claude, MB on March 2, 1920, Joe worked hard as a young man and in the 1950s, he started a sewer and water construction business in Winnipeg that became his legacy until the late 1970s. He then retired to Ile Des Chenes for many years and finally settled in the Marchand area. In his younger years, Joe enjoyed working at his very successful construction business, hunting, and being with his friends and family. In the latter years of his life, he enjoyed the spaciousness of his farm and picking pinecones. He was a very generous person and very dedicated and supportive of his family. Besides his daughter Anne Wilson of Calgary and his son Gerald (Vi) of Edmonton, he is survived by four grandchildren, Megan (Jim), Michael, Scott, Jordan, stepgrandson Brendan and great-grandson James Tanner. Joe is also survived by three sisters, Rose Rudnicki of Rathwell, MB, Jeanne Durupt of St. Claude, MB, Anne McMaster (Perc) of London, ON; and sister-in-law Stella of Toronto, ON. He was predeceased by his sister Stella; and two brothers, John and Walter. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB.
