NICHOLAS (NICK) SHWALUKE It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Nick Shwaluke on Thursday, February 13, 2003, after a short but very courageous battle with cancer. Nick will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife and best friend of 62 years, Pauline; only child Patricia (Larrie) Chuchmach; grandson Loring (Tina) and granddaughter Nicole; one brother Matthew (Ann) and one sister Ann Antonation; numerous nieces, nephews and special friend Mary Chuchmuch. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Joseph, Michael, and William. Nick was born on December 12, 1914 in Oakburn, MB and farmed for many years. He met and married Pauline Kalyniak of Russell, MB on October 12, 1941. They moved to Winnipeg in 1962 where dad worked at Sunshine Uniforms until his retirement. The family wishes to thank Major Gordon Jarvis, Dr. W. Li and all the staff and friends at Grace Hospital for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Sunday, February 16 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 590 Alverstone St. with Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk OSBM, assisted by Deacon Leon Twerdun. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nicks memory to the Grace General Hospital Foundation or St. Basil the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church, Elevator Fund. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
