Date of Passing: Feb 14, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM BARRY KITCHEN (JR) Known to all as "UNCLE BILL" With great sadness and sorrow, suddenly on February 14, 2003 we lost our beloved husband, father, other, son and grandfather. Bill was born 1937 at Winnipeg Victoria General Hospital. He was predeceased by his mother Loretta, and stepfather Jim Balsillie. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marlene of 33 years; two sons, Jason, and Gord (Nuala) granddaughter Orlagh; father William Kitchen (Sr.) brother Harry (Dorre) three sisters, Doris "DoDo," Judy (Pete), Debbie (Bob) Auntie Marion Forrey (Blaine) nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. While our eyes bleed tears of sorrow our hearts hold dear the memories of you. You always put others first whether it was family, friends or strangers. Your gift of gab, sense of humour, and love for children will always be remembered. Bill will be remembered for all the Christmas parties as Santa or a Clown bringing cheer and joy to others less fortunate. Devoted member of the Masonic Memorial Temple, Member of No. 101 Legion and Khartum Temple. He spent endless hours of volunteering with the sports community. Bills work career began with the Federal Electric Corporation Logistics Department in Northern Manitoba on the DEW line and then Traders Finance in Northwest Ontario. Later he moved to the automotive business, where he found his love. Bill worked at Eastern Sales, Century Motors, Midway Chrysler and then made the move to work with his lifelong friend Jim Gauthier at Transcona Dodge. Bill was presently working as Fleet and Lease Manager at Jim Gauthier Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac Ltd., where he will be greatly missed by all. Bill has been with Jim Gauthier for the past 23 years. Service will be held on Thursday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Bill touched the hearts of many and brought joy to all. So in keeping with his generous nature, in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. "On this day, I lost my friend, my confidant, my lover, my soul mate. You will always be in my heart." Love Marlene CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
