BEATRICE FRASER (nee PAUL) August 8, 1914 - February 13, 2003 With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Beatrice Fraser (nee Paul), on February 13, 2003. Beatrice was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Paul; her beloved husband and friend Wyn, who died in 1983; and her dear sister Lucille. She is survived by her son Wayne; daughter-in-law Joyce; two grandchildren, Michelle and Paul; her brother Larche in Montreal; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was born in Transcona on August 8, 1914 and lived her life in Transcona. She married Wyn, the love of her life, on July 1, 1939 and together they devoted their lives to their family, church and community. Mom was a wonderful educator, teaching students in the classroom, music to piano students and English to new Canadians. She had a great love of music and willingly shared her talented gift. For many years, she played the organ at the Assumption and Blessed Sacrament Churches. She also gave dynamic performances at various community functions with the "Saints and Sinners." Family and friends fondly remember her lively Christmas Carols at the old house on "Reveillon" after midnight mass. Still in her beloved Transcona, she lived her last years at Park Manor Personal Care Home, where she brightened the lives of residents and staff alike with her easy smiles and pleasant nature. Thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at Park Manor, Mom was well cared for, happy and content. A mass celebrating Beas life will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish on Wednesday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Ed Bonin officiating. Burial at Transcona Cemetery, beside her beloved husband Wyn. Should friends so desire, donations in Beatrices memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
