DENNIS ALBERT O'DONNELL 1953-2003 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother and son. On February 15, after a short but courageous battle with cancer Dennis passed peacefully with his wife Cathy by his side. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Cathy of 25 years; loving children Brenna and Blake; mother Gertrude; sisters Pat (Bob) and Aloma (Gordon) brothers-in-law, Blair (Didi) Graveline and Gord (Kim) Graveline; sister-in-law Laura (Rene) Proulx; mother-in-law Trudy and father-in-law Gord Graveline; nephews Philip and Dean Law, Tanner Graveline; and numerous other relatives and friends. A special thanks to friends who spent time at his bedside during his brief hospital stay. Dennis was predeceased by his father Albert and sister Doreen. Denis was born in Manitou, on July 15, 1953 and moved to Winnipeg with his family at an early age. He graduated from Charleswood Collegiate and attended the University of Manitoba. He worked for the City of Winnipeg for the last 12 years, most recently in the Inspections Branch. Dennis had many friendships. He was always giving and caring with others, energizing others in many hobbies and projects. He gave whatever he had to those close to him and all those he encountered in life. He volunteered his time willingly. He was a man of many talents, from farming to cooking. Always busy, he managed his job, a hobby farm and small business. He loved to be out at his hobby farm or Manitou property. They were special places for him. He was very proud of his two wonderful children. They made him so happy. His love and zest for life will remain with them always. Cathy and Dennis were always there for each other with unwavering love through all things that love will endure. A memorial service will be held on Friday February 21, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Winnipeg, MB R3T 5Y4. A special thanks to the CancerCare and Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denniss memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermott Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. We have felt incredibly lucky to have you in our lives.
