BERNICE BILOUS Peacefully, on Monday, February 17, 2003, at the Riverview Health Centre, Bernice passed away at the age of 75, after a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Roman; brothers, Walter and Victor and sister Peggy. Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her son Bob (Robyn) special friends, Bertha and Mike Derewianko and Lynn Batenchuk; granddaughter Leanne Lachuta (Jason). She is also survived by Pat, Lawrence and David Kolody. Bernice was born and raised in Winnipegs North End. One of her favourite places to go to eat was Kelekis Restaurant. It was there that she met her future husband Roman. They married in 1951 and continued to reside in the North End. They were both long time members of the Canadian Polish Athletic Club (C.P.A.C.) and in later years Bernice was a member of St. John Cantius. Bernice and Roman enjoyed many holiday vacations together over the years. Bernice later traveled with the Seniors bus tour with her many friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brock Hepburn, Les Parry, Steven Parry, Jason Stanko, Jim Street and Tim Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Mel Jarvis, Steve Masnyk and Colin Parry. Special thanks to Dr. Czaykowski and staff at CancerCare Manitoba, staff at Gentle Touch Personal Care Services and to the staff of 3 East wing at Riverview Health Centre.
