He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his loving wife of 49 years, Adeline; his son Garry (Carol) and grandchildren Tyler, Keeghan and Jorhn; son Gord (Heather) and grandchildren Ryan, Aaron and Mason; daughter Susan and granddaughter Alexis. He is also survived by his brothers, Nick (Joan) and Clarence; brother-in-law Victor Typliski (Doreen) and numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was born on April 5, 1928 in Walkleyburg, MB. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman. He especially enjoyed his ice fishing trips into George Lake and muskrat trapping at Oak Hammock Marsh. Peter had many fond memories of the years he spent as equipment manager for the Selkirk Steelers and was a part of the 1974 Centennial Cup Championship Team. He later volunteered his time to run the Steeler Bingo. His working years were spent supervising construction projects for various companies in Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba. Peter retired in 1986 and by then had developed an interest in antiques and collectables. For many years he was a familiar face at garage sales, flea markets and auction sales throughout the Interlake area. Even after his illness had slowed him down, he kept active by buying and selling items on ebay. An evening prayer service will be held on Thursday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. also in the chapel, with Father Harry Oliynek officiating. Interment to follow in the East Selkirk Cemetery. Rest in peace Gee Gee, we will all miss you. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
