SALLY SOLNIK 1925-2003 On February 15, 2003 after a brief illness, we have lost our loving sister, aunt, and dear friend. Sally was predeceased by her father and mother, Alexander and Anna; her brothers, John, Joe, Tony, Ed, Mike; her sister Evelyn; and numerous other relatives. Sally is survived by her brother Frank, five nieces, three nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Also dear to her heart was her long time special friends, Lillian Weaver and Bernice Kwast. Sally was born in Winnipeg on June 25, and grew up in West St. Paul, attending Emesville School, where she began many friendships. Auntie started her long-standing career at a very young age, working at Burns meats for 43 years. Auntie was a very active lady throughout her life, and made friends wherever she went. She was a member of the 55 Plus Club at St. James Civic Centre and the Age and Opportunity group. Auntie was a fabulous baker and cook, a seamstress and an accomplished cake decorator and reflexologist. She loved music, singing and dancing. Auntie always had a bounce in her step and a smile on her face, she loved to laugh and have fun. When Auntie wasnt travelling, she loved to spend time at her cottage, where she had many happy times. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at 7:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 10:30 a.m., with prayers beginning at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy., with Fr. P. A. Morand the celebrant. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Auntie was a true friend, had a heart of gold, and we will all miss her fun loving, generous spirit very much "Love You" THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
