LILLIAN NEALY (nee Drailich) On Saturday, February 15, 2003, after a lengthy chronic lung disease, Lillian, our beloved sister and aunt, passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. Lillian will be sadly missed by her sister, Lena Kelm of Winnipeg, her two sisters-in-law, Madeline Dreilick and Helen Drylick, and her seven nieces and three nephews. Lenas family, Bettiann (Barry, Calgary), Ernie (Ottawa), and Joyce (Maurice) Headingley, share many happy memories of their Aunt Lil. No birthday was complete without a Jeanne cake and Blue Boy ice cream. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. Lillian was born in Camper, Manitoba on August 30, 1917. She was the fourth child of Bertha and Gustave Drailich. She was predeceased by her mother, Bertha in 1948, her father, Gustave in 1957, her sister Pauline Olga, her brothers, Alfred, Arnold, Ernest, Herbert, Harry, and two brothers in infancy. Lillian spent her childhood in Camper, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg as a young adult. She worked at Westcott Fashions for many years. Lillian was a meticulous independent woman with a deep inner strength. These qualities sustained her through her illness. In her leisure time Lillian enjoyed visiting her two sisters, walking in Assiniboine Park, bird watching, working on crossword puzzles, tending her many lily plants, reading, croqueting, and taking pictures to chronicle her familys history. She enjoyed baking. Her gingerbread cakes and eggnog were legendary. The family would like to thank the staff on 4E Deer Lodge Centre for their patience and loving care of Lillian. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. "She whom we love and lose is no longer where she was before. She is now wherever we are." St. John Chrysostom.
