Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERONICA (RONNIE) TWERDOCHLIB It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Ronnie on Monday, February 17, 2003 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 57. Ronnie leaves to mourn, her sister Adeline and family; brother Ron (Minnie) and family and sister-in-law Carole (Peter) and family; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Annie; brother Leonard and brother-in-law George Pickering. Ronnie was born on June 8, 1945 at the Canora Hospital, close to the family farm. She grew up near Norquay, SK. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Yorkton and moved to Regina. Ronnie worked there until she moved to Winnipeg in 1967 to help after the passing of her brother-in-law George. She worked at Hudson Bay House for several years and then moved to the Manitoba Liquor Commission, where she worked until she was unable, due to her Multiple Sclerosis. For the last 13 years, Ronnie resided at Columbus House where she made many very good new friends. She was a fun loving person, who had a knack for making people smile. Ronnie was also very determined and strong willed, that being one of the reasons she was able to stay in her own home until the end. This of course would not have been possible without her many friends, old and new, and family who helped her out. Above all, we would like to give our sincere thanks and appreciation to "her girls" from Home Care, who did such an excellent job of making each day more enjoyable and bearable for Ronnie. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 505 Brewster St. with Fr. Wenceslao Rebillaco officiating. Service to terminate at the church. If friends and family so desire, donations in memory of Ronnie, may be made to the M.S. Society. "Ronnie and Friends wont be walking this year! Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
