ALLAN W. ANDERSON Allan W. Anderson passed away peacefully at his home in Winnipeg on February 18, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 29, 1938 at Ingolf, ON where he spent his younger years. Allan was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Lydia Anderson; his sister Selma; and his brothers, Wilfred and Victor. Surviving Allan are his sister Ruth Kirkland, sister-in-law Bertha Anderson and his very dear friend Ken Marsh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Allans family was very important to him and times spent with family always made him smile. We will all miss him dearly. The family would like to thank Drs. Meyrowitz and Harris of Winnipeg, with a special thank you to home care nurse Louise, for her care and compassion. Cremation has taken place according to Allans wishes. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Kenora, with Captains Val and Gloria Redner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Downs Syndrome Society of Winnipeg. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Kenora and Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, Winnipeg entrusted with arrangements.
