DONALD THOMAS BURR Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 18, 2003, Donald Burr passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 75 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Winnifred; and by his sisters, Patricia and Sharon. He leaves to mourn his passing his sister Carolee (Jack) King; his nephews, Charles (Janice), Cameron (Phillippa) and Mark; and niece Chris. Don returned to Winnipeg, his "beautiful city" and birthplace in 1966, following varied work experiences and the pursuit of "the big adventure" in Vancouver, Minneapolis, Chicago and several centres in California, notably, San Francisco and San Diego where he worked in the area of public relations for Bell Telephone. Subsequently, northern Manitoba beckoned where Don worked as a chef at numerous major development sites for many years. In accordance with his wishes, Don will be remembered for his generous ways, cheerful disposition and enduring sense of humour at a private family gathering.
