FLORENCE (EFFIE) CHATFIELD May 12, 1906 - February 20, 2003 Effie passed away peacefully on February 20 at the Middlechurch Home at the age of 96 years. She was predeceased by her husband Cliff in 1979. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Leona Chatfield of East St. Paul, MB, Bernice Miguez of Kelowna, BC; and brother-in-law Ken Chatfield of Burnaby, BC. She had always kept in touch with her many cousins, nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed, especially by her devoted niece and friend, Ann Cooke of Oakbank. Effie proudly worked at Eatons for 27 years. Effie and Cliff spent many happy summers at their cottage at Brereton Lake and also enjoyed retirement in their home on the river in East St. Paul. In her later years, Effie spent many happy times in the company of her sister-in-law, Leona. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway Ave. at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25.
