RAM PIYARI GANDHI March 17, 1914 - February 17, 2003 Ram Piyari Gandhi, born in Gujranwala (India), passed away at the Victoria General Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mohinder (Shammy) of Winnipeg, Harjinder (Shashi) of Toronto, Kuldip (Jasbir) of India, Harjit (Harprett) of India; daughters, Nirmal (Gurdip) of India, Prem (Baldev) of Edmonton; grandchildren, Nancy, Simmy, Anjali; Sunjay, Rajiv; Bonny, Vickey; Jyoti, Isha, Raunak; Renu, Gurmeet, Purshotam; Sneh, and Juliet; great-grandchildren, Rippy, Bunny, Shailly, Komal, Siera, Mehak; and her brother Harbans Lal of Ambala (Punjab) and many, many relatives and friends in India and Canada. Predeceased by her husband Haveli Ram Gandhi; parents; and sister. She had passion for Gurbani, Radha Swami Satsang, caring for poor and needy people and entertaining guests at all hours. She had strong will power and a very sharp mind. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23 at Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., followed by a service at Sikh Centre, 500 Dover Court Dr., off Scurfield Road. The family would like to thank Dr. Madhuri Jain, and Dr. K.S. Jolly and the entire dedicated and caring staff of Unit 5 of Victoria General Hospital especially Ahmed, Margaret, Wendy, Joanne, Debbie, Madonna, John, Trevor, Paul, Michelle, Jaswinder, Jackie, Kelly, Frank, Annabelle, Michael.
