EDWINA DONAK On Wednesday, February 19, 2003, Edwina Donak passed away at Stonewall, MB with her family by her side. Surviving to mourn her loss, son Brian (Heather) of Stonewall; grandchildren, Thomas and Julie and sister Patricia (Miki) Mori of Windsor, ON. Predeceased by her husband Joseph Donak in 1985 and her sister Irene Irvine. Edwina was born on January 10, 1926 and grew up and attended school at Port Arthur, ON. She then moved to Ottawa with her sister where she met her husband who was from Fort William, ON. Edwina and Joseph lived in many small towns before settling in Winnipeg. Mom worked at Zellers for many years. The last eight years she lived in Stonewall to be closer to her son and family. Many enjoyable hours were spent out in her garden and feeding the birds. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, 433 Main St., Stonewall. Rev. Mary Best will officiate. The service will conclude at the chapel. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Southwest District Palliative Care, Box 1282, Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0.
