Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE KLIPPENSTINE (nee PENNER) Katherine Klippenstine (nee Penner), in loving memory of "Katie" Klippenstine who passed away on February 20, 2003 at her residence, Fairview Nursing Home. She was born in Steinau, Russia on July 22, 1919. Katie came to Canada with her family in the mid 1920s and eventually lived for many years in the Oak Lake District where she met and married Pete Klippenstine in 1939. On retirement, they moved to Brandon in 1974. She will be remembered by her husband Peter; children, Albert (Eleanor), Peter (Brenda), Ernie (LeEllen), Irene (Ben) grandchildren, Jody (Megan), Cory (Dee), Kent (MaryEllen), Richard, Ryan, Jeff; and great-grandson Benjamin. She will also be remembered by her sister Ann; brother Corny (Thelma) sister Beth (Bill) and sisters-in-law, Tena and Iola. She was predeceased by her brothers, Peter and Henry; sister Mary; as well as her father and mother, Rev. Peter Penner and Anna Penner. There will be a time of visitation held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th St. North on Sunday, February 23 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, 951-10th St., on Monday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Katie to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 3-824-18th St., Brandon, MB R7A 5B7. The family would like to thank the fourth floor staff of Fairview Nursing Home for the many years of devoted care they gave her. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
