MARY LACHAINE Peacefully on February 19, 2003 at St. Boniface General Hospital Mary Lachaine passed away at the age of 81. She is survived by her daughter Helen Francis and son-in-law Gary; son Neil Lachaine and daughter-in-law Maureen; grandsons, Daryl (Susan) Francis, Derek (Tracey) Lachaine and Ryan (Amanda) Lachaine; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sarah; also special friend Ellie Torgerson. Nana was born on December 16, 1921 in Ireland, and came to Winnipeg at the age of three. Nana lived most of her life in Weston and was employed by the Province of Manitoba, Department of Vital Statistics for over 25 years. Nana enjoyed knitting, reading and travelling, especially to Ireland and England. Nanas true love though was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she truly lived for. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and medical students of the St. Boniface General Hospital for their care and kindness.
