Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFANNY H. ROGERVILLE After a brief illness at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Mom passed away peacefully on February 12, 2003, three months short of her 89th birthday. Beloved widow of Harry, Fanny leaves to mourn, son Aubrey Rogerville, daughter Brynah Cohen; grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, Ashton, Dylan and Hailey; great-grandchild Cody; sister Ettie Zabenske; brothers, Lou and Sam Chochinov. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Tauba Chochinov; brothers, Saul, Harry, Hymie and Moe Chochinov. Mom was born and raised in West Kildonan where her family operated a dairy farm, Chochinov Dairy. Fanny graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in education. She taught briefly, and then married Dad upon his return from overseas after the war. For 45 years, they were the perfect match for each other. Dads patience and sense of humour helped temper Moms determined personality. After Dads death in 1991, Mom continued the activities that gave her the most pleasure - horticulture, reading, and shopping for treasures and antiques at Value Village. Fanny knew her trees, plants and shrubs! All spring and summer long, Moms yard always seemed to be in full bloom. Mom also always had the ability to see the positive in any person, place or thing; under any circumstance. Fanny truly was a woman of vision in this regard. Baba Fanny cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchild, and enjoyed being part of their active lives. Her home was always surrounded by their most recent accomplishments, especially by Haileys artwork. The family is grateful and would like to express appreciation to Moms friends and neighbours, Ruth and Leo Lussier and Shirley, Bill, Scott and Kelly Jenken for their loving assistance they provided Fanny over the years. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 14 from the Chesed Shel Emes. Pallbearers were Jason Rogerville, Barry Chochinov, Perry Chochinov, Joel Chochinov, Adam Spigelman and Avery Spigelman. Donations can be made at a charity of ones choice.
