RAUL FERREIRA BENEVIDES It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and brother Raul Benevides who passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 66 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maria; three daughters, Zenaida Benevides (Mario Rauleno), Nizalda Benevides (Marcelino Rocha) and Tereza Benevides; two sons, John Benevides (Edite), Donny Benevides (Delia) eight grandchildren, Victoria, Christopher, Jessica, Amber, Tylor, Amanda, Emily and Michele; brothers, Jose (Fatima), Manuel (Isabel) sister Algira (Manuel Cemiao) of Azores; brother-in-law Danel Monis; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Raul was predeceased by his parents Raul and Diolinda, sister Linilde Monis, and dear friend John Sousa. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Unruh and all the nurses and staff on GH6, Health Sciences Centre.
