Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD GEORGE MEARON It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father and grandfather Lloyd George Mearon on Saturday, February 22, 2003. Bud, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Montreal on June 22, 1917 to Moses and Florence Mearon. Bud spent his life in the West End attending Wellington and General Wolfe Schools. He served his country in the army and was posted on the West coast. Buds first job was delivering slips on his bicycle for a bookie. He was then employed by The Bay as a elevator operator where he had the good fortune of meeting his wife of 61 years, May. Bud carried on the family tradition of working for the CPR. His career lasted 39 years, retiring as a railway conductor. Retirement years were spent curling with the CPR Pensioners, golfing with the "Thistles", bowling at Polo Park and looking after the "misses". Bud is survived by his wife May; his cherished sons, Paul (Evelyn), Maurice (Marion), Dennis (Susan) and Brian (Jean) six granddaughters, Karen, Kathie, Sarah, Heather, Michelle and Melissa; his only grandson John; sister Pearl; brother Victor; and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. Bud was a 50 year member of the No. l Legion, he belonged to the CPR Pensioners Association and the Lunch Bunch. Services will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Thursday, February 27 at 3:00 p.m. Viewing from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m..
