Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL BLAKE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father & grandfather, Paul Blake of Balmoral, MB on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at the Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital in Stonewall. Paul will be sadly missed by Lynn, his loving wife of 34 years; daughter Patricia (Donald) McBride; son Robert (Kimberley) Blake; as well as his grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, Connor, Chelsea, Brendan & Daniel; father-in-law Arthur Bodle and many other friends and family members. He was predeceased by his father Henry in 1981, mother Joyce in 1989, and mother-in-law Margaret in 2000. Born September 5, 1946 in Flin Flon, MB, Paul spent time in Germany, Brandon & Winnipeg before settling down in Balmoral where he spent his last 7 years. He retired in 1996 after working 30 years with the City of Winnipeg, After his retirement, he was able to focus on the things he really loved. One of his passions was the game of golf, so he became a member at the Teulon Golf Club. He also had an interest in computers and much of his free time was spent working on them. His love for these things was surpassed only by his love for his family, his biggest passion being his grandchildren. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service is being held on Friday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Manitoba or to the Cancer Society of Manitoba. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
