Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIANE MARILYN JEFFREY (nee CAMPBELL) Diane Jeffrey was born in Tisdale, SK, on March 13, 1943, to Dorothy Evelyn and Robert Nelson Campbell. Her schooling was at Ditton Park, Aylsham, Beechy and Saskatoon, SK. Dianes work career included positions with London Life Insurance (Saskatoon), the Department of External Affairs (Ottawa), The Canadian Disarmament Mission (Geneva, Switzerland), the office of the Dean of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, The Attorney Generals Department and The Department of Litigation (Manitoba Government). In 1968, Diane married Robert Larson in Saskatoon and they were later divorced. In 1989 she married John Steven Jeffrey in Winnipeg where they lived until moving to Calgary in 1996. Central to Dianes life were family and friends, and she was beloved by everyone who knew her. Among her passions were the decoration of her home, gardening and all things beautiful. She loved children and animals and all wild creatures, and her treasured pets were her babies. She met the many health challenges throughout her life with utmost courage and celebrated life with enthusiasm, joy and rollicking humour. We will miss the sound of her laughter. Diane died of cancer on February 19, 2003, in Rockyview Hospital, Calgary, after a stunningly brief illness. She was predeceased by her father Robert Campbell in 1987. Cherishing her memory are her beloved husband Steven and his family; mother Dorothy Campbell Henderson; brothers, Robert and Scott Campbell; sisters, Elaine Taguchi, Lorna Nelson Penhale and JoeAnne DeCaria; brothers-in-law, Akihiro Taguchi, Jim Penhale and Vince DeCaria; dearest friend Colleen Ireton; nieces, Sandie Braun and Janelle Campbell; nephews, Kevin, Ryan and Darren Braun, Curtis Campbell, Robert and Corbin Nelson and their spouses/partners; eight grandnephews, one grandniece and many dear friends. Funeral service will be held in Whites Funeral Chapel, Neepawa, MB, on Friday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Jim Penhale. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa. In lieu of flowers, it is Dianes wish that donations be made to your local S.P.C.A. or animal shelter. Whites Funeral Home, Neepawa in care of arrangements.
