FRANK (SID) McARDLE On February 24, 2003, at Riverview Health Centre, Frank passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Florrie, the love of his life for 43 years; his children, Karen (Pete), Mike (Laurie), Diane (Duane), Lisa (Craig) cherished grandchildren, Laura, Brendon, Jesse, Brady, Ryan, Tye and Julia; brothers, John and Tom of Manchester, England; his sister Mary of Dublin, Ireland; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Frank was born and grew up in Dublin, Ireland. Frank and Florrie became sweethearts in 1952 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1958. They were married in June of 1959 and raised their family in Winnipeg. Frank worked for Kimberly Clarke for 18 years until it closed in 1983. From there he worked in property management as maintenance supervisor until his retirement in 2000. During the course of his life Frank touched the hearts of many and was always there to do a good turn for anyone in need. Frank was a loving husband and father. He treasured lifes simple pleasures knowing that nothing should be taken for granted. He will be sadly missed by all of us. The family would like to express their thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview and CancerCare Manitoba for their loving care. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Franks memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
