EARL GEORGE PAISLEY, SGT, RCAF Passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 22, 2003, at Toronto Western Hospital with his daughter at his bedside. Born April 19, 1921 at Grandview, MB, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nora (Armitage) Paisley of Wasaga Beach, ON, and daughter Sharon and son-in-law George Burkholder of Mitchell, ON; son John Paisley and daughter-in-law Cathy Paisley of Waterloo, ON and son Patrick Paisley and his companion, Colleen Reid and daughter Kristin and Janice Reid of Wasaga Beach, ON. He will be sadly missed by his sister, Jean Elizabeth (Betty) Storey and her family; his brother James Paisley, sister-in-law Eleanor Paisley and family of Grandview, MB and sister-in-law Marie Paisley of Dauphin, MB. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Isabella Paisley, brother W. Dale Paisley and brother-in-law Doug Storey of Grandview, MB. Loving grandfather of Clinton, Tiffany, Sabrina, Jonathan and Jessica Burkholder and Shannon and Kimberly Paisley and great grandfather of Malcom Dusky. Mr. Paisley served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from December 4, 1942 until his retirement on March 29, 1968. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was responsible for organizing the baseball, hockey and Scout camps in Comox, B.C. and coordinating the youth recreation programs. After moving to Wasaga Beach, ON, he was the owner and operator of Paisleys Lorna Doon for over 35 years. He will be sadly missed.. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 26 at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions in Mr. Paisleys memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association.
