IDA KATE ROHR (nee CRAIG) Passed away Friday, February 21, 2003 after a lengthy illness at Victoria Hospital. She was born in Clearwater, MB on April 6, 1917 to Nellie and Arthur Craig. She finished high school in Clearwater and went to nursing training in Kenora, ON. She worked as a registered nurse for the RCAF for four years during the Second World War and served as medical support on war bride trains after the war. She met her husband Frank Rohr while working as a nurse for Air Canada. They married in June 1950. She returned to nursing in 1964 and worked at the St. Anne de Belleview Veterans Hospital in Montreal until they retired and returned to Winnipeg in 1977. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in November 1978. She leaves to mourn a sister Annie Cairns; two sons, Robert and Marcus Rohr; and two grandchildren, Evan and Veronica Rohr A memorial tea will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. at her former residence in Adamar Auditorium, 110 Adamar Rd. Orthodox prayers will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m. in Charleswood United Church, Roblin and Dieppe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Idas name to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
