Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER PALEY It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Peter Paley. He passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 84 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Mary; his son Peter William (Barbara) and daughter Maureen (Gary Taylor). His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Peter Anthony, Trisha, Troy and Ty; and by his only surviving sister Zonia Pryma. Peter was born in Rosa, MB on December 6, 1918 to Simeon and Mary Paley and grew up on the family homestead. He attended Baskerville School and St. Johns Technical School. He joined the Princess Patricia Corp in 1936. On June 7, 1941 he married Mary Kolodzinski and they began to farm in Rosa. During his life on the farm, he played in an orchestra, participated in hockey and loved playing baseball. In 1959, he moved his family to Winnipeg and worked several jobs, retiring from the Winnipeg School Division Maintenance Department in June of 1979. Dad was a caring, patient, religious and hard working person who enjoyed everyones company and meeting new people. He adored his grandchildren and was a dedicated fan of all of their activities. Peter was well known for his knowledge of farming and enjoyed taking on new projects that required building and repairing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28 at 1:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Road.
