ROLAND CHARETTE
Date of Passing: Feb 21, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLAND CHARETTE After a lengthy, courageous and graceful battle with cancer, Roly passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Friday, February 21, 2003 at the age of 60 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Yvette; his children Cindy (Kyle), Lisa (Jeff), Rachel and Duane; his grandchildren, Riley, Emily and Simone; his mother Alice; his sisters, Celine and Bernice, all from Winnipeg and his brother Ron of Aylmer, PQ. He was predeceased by his father John. Dad worked at Bristol Aerospace, a job he loved for 32 years. Dad was a complex man but preferred simple things. He loved gardening, fishing, movies, poetry, hot days and cold beer. About ten years ago he called home from work one day to tell his children there was a rainbow in the sky. That was Dad. We will miss him. The family wishes to thank Dr. N. Ahmed, Dr. J. Prenovault, the doctors and staff of St. Boniface Emergency, Palliative Care doctors and staff; Home Care staff, especially Marie R.N., Patrick, Theresa and Terry, and special thanks also to Collette. To honour Rolys wishes, cremation has taken place. Because Roly disliked formal affairs, a casual attire memorial service for family, relatives and close friends will be held at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. on Tuesday, March 4 at 1:30 p.m. The service will terminate at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rolys memory to a charity of ones choice. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
