GORDON J. KORK Peacefully at the Grace General Hospital on Thursday, February 27, 2003 after a brief battle with cancer, Gordon John Kork aged 57 went to his eternal rest. Gordon was predeceased by his father John, June 2, 1983; mother Pearl, May 3, 1984; niece Charlene, April 10, 2000; sister Marjorie, July 6, 2001. He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers and four sisters, Walter (Marie), Mary-Anne Lazerenko (Bill), Olga Gluck (Ed), Ed Kork, Helen Sys (Barry), Kathy Richardson (Barry), as well as many nieces and nephews. Gord was born in the Dugald area on March 2, 1945 and attended school at Suthwyn and Springfield Collegiate. Gord first was employed as a lathe operator at Wilson Auto Electric and then just recently received a gold watch for 25 years of service with Monarch Industries. Gord will be fondly remembered by his friends and family for his love of fishing, horse-racing, snowmobiling and most sporting events. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Monday, March 3 at 1:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street, 582-0973. If friends so desire, a memorial donation in Gords memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
