Dorothy was born at Craighurst, ON in 1914. Her family came to Manitoba in 1919 and settled on the farm at Gordon. She married David in 1943 and resided in Souris, Dauphin and then Winnipeg in the 1950s until her death. Dot worked for Eatons before her marriage and after returning to Winnipeg. She retired in the 1980s and in her retirement enjoyed gardening and her family. A private family service was held. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to the Health Sciences Centre GA4 and the emergency ward for their excellent care and compassion during Moms brief stay. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothys memory may be made to Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or Memorial Fund of the United Church of Meadowood, 1111 Dakota St., Winnipeg, MB R2N 3T7. Miss Me But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love that we once shared Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone, Its all part of the Masters Plan A step on the road to home. So when you are lonely and sick at heart Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds Miss me, but let me go.
