BERNARD (BALROOP) DASS 1930 - 2003 It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of Bernard Dass on Friday, February 28, 2003. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Yvonne, daughter Margaret (Wolfgang) and son Joseph, sisters, Mayah (Bal), Bainmatee, Ahaliah and Surend Chooniedass and their families. Grampy will be lovingly remembered by the "lights" of his life, his grandchildren, Avinash and Rishma Chooniedass, Brigitte and Renate Scheffer and Amanda and Jonathan Dass. He is also survived by many other siblings, nephews and nieces and family members in Trinidad as well as his brother-in-law Owen Goodman (Liz) and his family in Switzerland. He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter Helen. Benz immigrated to Canada with his family in 1968 in order to provide them with a better life. He was a hard worker and retired from his position at Revenue Canada in 1996. He was always a loyal and true friend to all who knew him and will be remembered for his generous nature to anyone in need. He took great pride in his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He appreciated each of them for their uniqueness and the joy they brought to his life. Our family wishes to thank the many friends who have supported us over the past several years. We would especially like to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface General Hospital. We were truly blessed not only to have the generosity of your skills and expertise but especially the compassion and sensitivity that you extended not only to Bernard but to all who came to spend time with him. We would invite you to a celebration of Bernards life on Wednesday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Boniface General Hospital Heart Care Campaign, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, R2H 2A6 or to Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd. Rest in peace dear husband, father, Grampy and friend. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
