My father Ssgt William (Bill) Brown was I believe was a friend to him. Dad was stationed at the Airbase at the time they turned the base over to Canada. I was around 5 at the time. He would take my family on fishing trips and dad on bird hunting trips. We kids would help remove feathers. I remember George took us to an island to picnic and a bear chased us off the island while mom and I were on a bathroom break. We all ran for the boat and set out in the water while the bear enjoyed our lunch. Dad and George made several fishing trips together, putting the fish in the snow. The last time I remember seeing George and Nancy was at my parents home in the late 70's. They lived in Stickerville Missouri. I was home on leave just by chance. He and Nancy were two of the nicest people I can remember. I am sorry for your loss. Dad passed 5 years ago. Blessings to your family. - Posted by: Naomi Tuttle (Brown) (Daughter to a friend of his) on: May 15, 2022
