She resided in both Kenora and British Columbia before moving to Selkirk, where she has resided for over the past 50 years. She was employed in retail with the Sam Epstein Department Store for 15 years, where she met and enjoyed many friends. She loved to go to Grand Beach to their cottage and this is where Mom had a great time with her family and especially her sisters. Rose was a member of the Selkirk Legion and enjoyed watching sports, gambling playing cards. She enjoyed her bingo until the very end and participated at the Betel Home. She was also an avid curler in her younger years and even won a trophy. She liked to watch all sports, from boxing to hockey and baseball. Rose even knew quite a few of the players too! Mom loved to have her whole family around at all times, never wanting them to leave and always wanting to know when they would return for a visit. Rose loved laughter and good times to be had by all when in her presence. Prayers will be said on Monday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m. (tonight) in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk, with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating.
