Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARA REIDER December 25, 1917- February 28, 2003 It is with heavy hearts of sadness that we announce the death of our precious Mother and Baba. Clara was predeceased by her husband Isaac Reider in 1993. Clara was the sole survivor of her family during the holocaust. Meeting her husband Isaac in a refugee camp, then wed in Italy. Arriving in Canada after the war, Clara opened up a fashion shop in Melville, SK. Later, relocating to Winnipeg, MB, Clara opened another fashion shop. When Clara and Isaacs daughter came into their lives, Clara retired from the fashion business and dedicated herself to raising their child. Clara was also very active in the Jewish Community. Being a life time member of Ort and Hadassah-Wizo. Clara also enjoyed many years of various activities, bowling, card playing with many dear friends; travelling also was a great pleasure of Claras. Clara leaves to mourn her daughter Elisa (Derek) Campbell, and her two grandchildren, Ashley and Dylan, of whom she was very proud. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 2, at Chesed Shel Emes with Rabbi Peretz Weitzman officiating. Interment took place in the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hymie Weinstein, Neil Kimelman, Howard Shapiro, Darren Demetrioff, Kevin Ryan and Keith Robinson. Thank you to Dr. Fine, Dr. Blank and Dr. Shah, along with the nursing staff (especially Debbie and Tina) on Unit 5 at the Victoria General Hospital for their care.
