Max enjoyed his many years working for the City of Winnipeg, Parks and Recreation Branch, working his way up to Foreman at Brookside Cemetery. Dad was a gentle man, always willing to lend a hand when needed, especially with his carpentry skills. He spent his retirement travelling with Irene, visiting friends and family across the country. Most recently he looked forward to walking in the mall and meeting his friends for coffee, before his illness slowed him down. A special thank-you goes to the nursing and support services staff of Johnson Memorial Hospital for their caring and compassion with Dad in his last weeks. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery at a later date. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
